For in person drop i decided to go Bloomfield Hall School, Township Lahore. I have already done some volunteer work there and I approached the co-coordinator, miss Faiza and took an appointment for dropping my Resume. I reached there on time and i met Miss Faiza. I delivered my elevator pitch( i was really getting nervous inside as it was my first experience) as learned from Amal fellowship. I told her about my education and experience. She really encouraged me for coming in person drop of cv and she was impressed by my communication skills. She advised to do a short kindergarten to polish my skills further and asked me to come again after completing the course. I thanked her and left.
Learned Lessons:
I learned through this activity that in person drop really shows your passion towards organization and mostly employers value this.
Challenges:
First of all, it was hard for me to come out of my comfort zone and go in person. I was very nervous but somehow i managed to go there. While delivering elevator pitch i was getting confuse.
How to do better next time:
I will practice my elevator pitch more effectively and will apply again after doing that short course, It was really good for building confidence.
Outcome:
It was a good experience of taking out courage and getting out of your comfort zone. A novel, personal delivery mode has the potential to set you apart from your competition, provided you approach it in a thoughtful and professional manner.
