Safe Deal starts as all other startups… from an idea 💡…
As two developers that strive to improve and know each other from a previous job, we always want to do something by ourselves that will be our “baby” product.
Both of us are heavily online shoppers that buy on the internet, we start to think about which pains we can solve for other peoples that shop online. One of the ways of thinking was just to let's go to buy products in Ali Express and see what is our pains and if it occur also to other buyers. We start buying, and buying and analyze this process. we note something strange…
It just takes us too much time to buy items! ⏳
The more interesting question is, Why⁉️
why, in 2020 it takes us too long to investigate products and get feedback for specific products, why I need to get back and forth inside the product and analyze product? All that’s just take a LOT of time! Moreover how I know that what I choose after investigate, analyze, and check is safe to buy?!?
This pain is a real one!
That was the entry point to start our idea to think about a safe deal product.
After the idea was more stable we decide to start asking people, what they think about it? Are they use this kind of product? Are they recommend it to other people? What do they want to get from the Product? what is their pain on online shopping?
After we get sufficient answers, we start to think about the development architecture and which features are must be in the first release.
We just think what if we develop tool that will be an AI (artificial intelligence) tool that gives as instant feedback?
We start to meet and develop the product, we decide that the best way to help people with this issue is to create a browser extension that “know to read” online shopping sites and give the users instant feedback. The most important feature for us was simplicity!
Keep it simple is a great feature but Simple doesn't mean easy :)
We decide that Safe Deal is green and Bad Deal is red, simple right?
The development of browser extension is not easy at all, there is a lot of obstacles and a lot of places to fall.
One tip that we can share is communication between teammate is critical when you build your startup! it seems obvious and easy but it's not really, cause each one has its own opinion and you must agree and do it TOGETHER.
Today After a year of development and a few releases, we can say that its important to get always feedback as soon as possible from your users, and always improve your product.
Safe Deal continues to grow, add more features to Ali express, add support to eBay online shopping, add more languages, add more rules, and more…
