Patterns & Fine lines: Deciphering the shit in between !
I said it before and still I don’t like publishing articles.
This is not motivational nor it is a conclusion of some books or youtube videos. This is a personal interpretation of a timeline of events, a very personal one.
Beware you may not understand this and it’s ok !
The power of habit by Charles Duhigg is an amazing example of scientific explanation of habits and why we do what we do. Even though I would say he describes how we do what we do with a superficial why !
The habit is the axiome of a pattern which construct a rythme a frequency.
We all live with rythmes, sometimes with high or low frequencies. Aren’t we all talking about Vibes today huuh ?
The habit.
The Origin of vibes.
The pattern theory
What I like to call the pattern theory is the minimum awareness of one’s life that can lead him or her to notice / discover a recurring patterns in life.
Obviously our lives are full of patterns, starting from sleeping to eating to going to the toilet etc..But here I’m talking about a more specific level where events in one’s personal life recur.
Of course in time no event repeats itself exactly the same way but in the shape of events similarity exists
Let’s take a real life personal example of recurring events. In the past 3 years this pattern repeated itself 4 to 5 times:
Pattern #1
Workout at the gym for 3–4 months
Get injured
Adopt Yoga as a life style to brace your injury
Repeat
Pattern #2
Freelance work
Job hunt
Get sick of it ! Travel.
Repeat
It’s not magic, it’s just that awareness of what is going on may help us decide where to go next. We are creatures of habits whether they are conscious habits or unconscious ones.
Remember habits are the axiomes leading you down the path you’re walking. So whether you succeeded multiple times or failed millions, your habits are huge contributors to where you are going.
The goal here is not to give incentives on waking up early and eating healthy and see how successful you will be. Hell no ..
The goal is more interesting because we have life’s pattern and inside it we have multiple patterns. A pattern inside a pattern, a dream inside a dream like an inception style going on.
Interesting movie but let us navigate our own minds before jumping to people’s
Fine lines theory
There’s a fine line between
- Ego & the self
- Happiness & Sadness
- Feeling great & Feeling down
- Consciousness & Unconsciousness
- Black & White
- Actions & Reactions
The fine lines theory is having the awareness that changing a habit or building one is in the head and it’s a fine line not a big deal.
In other words, quitting smoking for a stereotyped smoker, is a huge deal that demands huge effort. While awareness that between smoking today and not smoking is a fine line defined by a simple decision of not lighting up that bitchy cigarette.
Not making a huge deal about the habit is a great way of dropping it !
( An ex smoker talking here, no need for bullshit arguments )
Also another huge impact of how we talk to ourselves. The power of words has a huge impact on your energy levels, vibes etc..
I highly recommend watching the following :
So before talking to people in a good way. Noticing how we talk to ourselves can be a key to solving and discovering our internal words.
Are you kind to yourself ? Are you always blaming yourself ? Have you ever taken yourself to a date ?
If you find me alone in the restaurant, don’t ever come and sit with me. You’re probably ruining my date !
You will never be able to succeed emotionally intellectually socially etc.. before succeeding internally with yourself. And if you are not talking to yourself, you gotta consider that you — my friend have a huge problem !
Practice the mirror exercice : If nothing comes out, start screaming !
To summarize the fine line theory, it’s having the ability to project your awareness on a certain situations in order to build or break habits or even change your mood instantly.
Again this may be bullshit like I said in my first article with the bullshit lady !
BUT !
If the bullshit can enhance your mood, then be it, USE IT !
Deciphering the patterns
From a personal point of view fighting the pattern is not the solution. Damning your life pattern and trying to break it is not how to get out of your own matrix (maybe saying it’s outta my hands huh ! BULLSHIT )
Instead one can adapt some habit consciously which may lead to a controllable pattern, or a progression. And by consciously I mean whith awareness, with a certain mindset. And if you find yourself repeating the pattern, know it’s your opportunity to bring more awareness or shift your mindset accordingly !
It’s like playing a video game and respawning to do the same shit again ! You don’t quit the game ! You do the shit again with a shifted mindset ! With a fine line of shifts that can make you win !
As for unconscious habits we maybe aren’t able to eliminate them and here comes the power of acceptance and surrendering to what is.
Instead accepting the pattern, making peace with it surrendering and trying to see the big picture may help finding where one’s heading. Because if you cannot change it at least you can predict what may happen next (or not).
— — — — — -Again this can be a total bullshit ! — — — — —
A clear example of that is that I’m currently freelancing which is letting me know that travelling will be next. The trick up my sleeve this time is that I’m aiming to a higher goal (progression) which may help me break that pattern.
On the other hand for pattern#1 the deal was easy, I felt that yoga was calling me so I embraced it and now I’m trying to adopt a yogic lifestyle which led me to new destinations and open doors such as becoming a yoga teacher, traveling to India and meeting beautiful people.
I wouldn’t say I won or broke the pattern but I rather say I learnt my lesson from it. I deciphered what the universe / my higher self was demanding of me.
Not trying to be a guru nor a life bulshitter but the more you listen to events happening around you the more you can see what your being is needing or what “the universe is demanding of you”.
My new discovered pattern is an overalls pattern :

Last year during this time of September I bought me a new overalls and I published my first article on medium.
Guess what ? I’m writing this article wearing new overalls !
