This week we talk about being personal, this is tip seven on — How To Build Your Personal Brand.

Creating a brand is similar to writing a story, a boring story won’t attract and retain readers, but stories brimming with personality can. Therefore, when forming a personal brand, the ability to convey a professional, yet personal feel is key. People want to learn about the real and authentic you, just as much as they want to learn about the professional you.

When thinking of how you can go about this, ask yourself:

1. What do you want to tell about yourself that is personal?

2. What brings out your authenticity?

Personal detail that can be included can range from certain achievements, extra-curricular activities to what you do for fun. Once these elements are incorporated, your brand will feel personal, genuine and authentic to the reader.
