What Are the Five Pillars of Islam

The “five pillars” of Islam are the basis of Muslim life. Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.w) said:

“Islam is founded on 5 pillars; to testify that ‘there is no god except Allah, and Muhammad (SAW) is his messenger To establish the ritual prayers; to give charity (to the needy); to perform the pilgrimage to the House (of worship in Makkah); and to fast during the month of Ramadan.”

- FAITH:

There is no god except Allah and Muhammad (S.A.W) is the messenger of Allah. This announcement of confidence is known as the Shahada, a basic equation which all the reliable profess. In Arabic, the first part is la ilaha illa Llah — ‘there is no god with the exception of God’; ilaha (god) can allude to anything which we may be enticed to put set up of God — riches, influence, and so forth. - FAST:

In the month of Ramadan, all Muslims fast from first light until dusk, declining nourishment, drink, and sexual relations.
