The world-famous amusement park Prater, which has been featured in many movies and whose iconic Ferris wheel is photographed by everyone at least once, is among the most important symbols of Vienna. There are many features that distinguish the Prater from ordinary amusement parks. During your time here, you will be full of adventure and fun, enjoy the city view from the top and learn the history of one of the oldest and most famous entertainment centers in history.

Prater is home to 250 different attractions, from nostalgic machines to modern roller coasters. The most important attraction that has made the Prater the symbol of the city is the giant Ferris wheel called the Giant Ferris Wheel, which has been in existence since 1827. It is possible to see this Ferris wheel from all over the city. Apart from this, there are roller coasters, horror tunnels, mirror mazes and many attractions for children. Although the Giant Ferris Wheel and a few important attractions are open all year, most of the tools in the park are in service between March and October. The cafés, restaurants, pâtisseries and street food stands inside are also quite delicious.

You need to buy a ticket to ride the toys in the Prater. Each ticket usually costs around 2–4 Euros. At the ticket office, there is important information about both the history of Vienna and the history of this very special amusement park. In other words, you can also be informed while waiting in line for tickets. In addition, there are models that refer to Prater in the box office, so it is possible to have a lot of information before visiting.

Apart from these parts, there is also a garden called Stadtpark, which hosts different activities in summer and winter, inside the amusement park. Stadtpark is also known as the ‘Green Prater’. If you want to enjoy nature in the middle of Vienna, you should definitely visit the park, which is shown as one of the most beautiful parks in the world. Stadtpark, which is the first choice of the local people for activities such as walking, picnic, and cycling with its flowering trees in summer, turns into a huge playground in winter with a snow machine. If you ride the famous Ferris wheel at sunset, you can also enjoy a magnificent view of Vienna in the evening.

The Prater is located in the Leopoldstadt district. It is free to enter, but if you want to take advantage of the attractions, you have to buy a ticket. Ticket prices vary depending on how many vehicles you take and which ones you get on.
