The Vienna Museum Quarter is one of the largest cultural sites in the world. There are many museums, cafes, restaurants, shops and different art institutions in the area within the boundaries of the historical center of Vienna. In the area established on an area of 640,000 square meters, a post-modern atmosphere has been created with examples of modern architecture as well as baroque-style buildings. The modern furniture called Enzi, which is in the open air as well as the museums, is also very interesting.

The Leopold Museum is one of the city’s most ambitious museums. The museum, which contains the most important works of the modern art movement unique to Vienna, is among the most visited museums of the city. The museum contains the most important works of Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt. It is open to visitors between 10.00–18.00 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday-Sunday, and between 10.00–21.00 on Thursdays. The entrance fee is 13 Euros.

Museum of Modern Art (Mumok), 20.-21. It is a museum where the works of art of the 19th century are concentrated. It hosts the works of the most important artists of the world, from Andy Warhol to Yoko Ono, from Pablo Picasso to Günter Brus. You can visit the museum between 14.00–19.00 on Mondays, 10.00–19.00 on Tuesday-Sunday and 10.00–21.00 on Thursdays. The entrance fee is 11 Euros.

Kunsthalle Wien is another museum where you can get your fill of modern art works. Inside, there are periodic exhibitions that change constantly. Apart from the exhibitions in it, many activities are held in the museum. The museum is open to visitors between 11:00 and 21:00 on Thursdays, and between 11:00 and 19:00 on the rest of the days.
