Oscar Isaac Hernández Estrada (born March 9, 1979) is a Guatemalan-American actor and film producer. He is known for his roles in films such as Inside Llewyn Davis, Ex Machina, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Dune, and Moon Knight. He has also starred in the television series Show Me a Hero and Scenes from a Marriage.

Isaac was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, to a Guatemalan mother and a Cuban father. He moved to the United States when he was five years old. He studied theater at Juilliard School, and after graduating, he began his acting career in New York City.
Isaac’s breakthrough role came in 2013, when he starred in the Coen brothers’ film Inside Llewyn Davis. He received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance. In 2014, he starred in the science fiction film Ex Machina, for which he received another Golden Globe nomination.
In 2015, Isaac joined the cast of the Star Wars franchise, playing Poe Dameron in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He reprised the role in Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019).
