Fake Love
When you know you will never be
When you love them all the more
When it’s a day
A night
Or a even a fateful hour at the airport
When you know you loved them before they noticed you
When it seems so right
But you’re so determined to make it wrong
When you dream about them and they are only a phone call away
Still, you can’t make the call
It’s not meant to be
Though meeting them never was either
You were suppose to miss that flight
You were suppose to be sad and miss that dinner
You were suppose to work late
But fate stepped in
It provided you with a date you never signed up for
Lovers
Estranged only by egos
Grandiosity has rendered us inept
Our hearts; unkept
Our tears; unwept
I’ll never see you again
Mores the pity;
When you navigate unknown pathways
Sadly, you paved them yourself
