Do you ever watch shows on TV and ever feel the urge to buy the outfit your favorite actor is wearing? Or do you ever wonder what it would be like to receive style consultations from Hollywood’s most famous costume designers?

There is something brewing in the fashion technology space, and students from the University of Alberta might have something to do with this.

Nelo TV is a platform for fashionistas to engage with and shop the style of their favorite shows. It’s a social network curated specifically for outfit connoisseurs to talk to and engage with the costume designers of the hottest shows. To date, they have fashion designers from the Mindy Project, Jane the Virgin and Pitch Perfect (just to name a few) using the network.

Co-founders Hammad, Qasim, and Pablo had the vision to bring an interactive TV experience everywhere. To date, they have fashion designers from the Mindy Project, Jane the Virgin and Pitch Perfect using the network (to name a few). However, their platform is not bounded to just hit TV shows. They plan to take Nelo TV to sports, news and wherever shoppable outfits come into play.

The scrapbook style canvas is one of their most attractive features. Through their customer discovery, many early users loved the idea of taking items from their preferred e-commerce stores and curating unique looks. It’s not surprising to believe that the Nelo team delivered:

As the world becomes more immersed in technology, Nelo TV has plans to disrupt how we shop for our attire. As Amazon makes it possible for us to have items delivered to our door with no risk, Nelo is in a perfect place to integrate with the e-commerce behemoth. For now, they plan to improve how their most loyal users find them and to streamline their user experience.

With consumers becoming more comfortable with fashion technology, could Nelo be the next big thing? See for yourself and download the Nelo app here.
