It’s simply the unnknowing that really gets me. The quality of life is vastly different; vast like the plains of the Mid-West. It’s hard for me to hold my tongue when they talk about how unfortunate a city, town, or person is. Because hardly anything I have seen here thus far is really, really, unfortunate. Their ‘unfortunate’ doesn’t include knowing there are cops with guns watching their movements. It doesn’t include someone throwing bricks at the windows of their homes in the middle of the night. It doesn’t include lead-tainted water that thousands of people have fallen ill to, simply because the higher powers wanted to save money on clean water.
