PLUM BLOSSOMS IN THE SNOW

The plum blossoms are just opening in the snow,

It’s fragrance is flying in the middle of the night,

While I happen to sit alone beside a lamp,

I cannot help but open my nostrils.

Like the harmonious sound of lute and harp,

Like a clear mirror reflecting Oneself,

Like the safe stability of the Earth,

Like the lights of the sun, the moon and the stars.
