GoIbibo is GST Ready
Your favorite travel booking portal is now GST ready . As suggested by our data and consumer research , Goibibo as a travel booking engine has a significant population of users who fall under business travelers persona , who would file for a reimbursement once the travel is over . GSTN number and corresponding detail is a mandate which would be required by organizations for GST filings and credits . Hence we took this up well ahead of time for benefit of our users
We started with our GST product changes for our users in the last week of May 2017 and are complete to become GST compliant starting midnight of 30th June 2017 .
Under GST regime , it becomes easy for Business Travelers to use their company GSTN Code , Organization name and e-mail to be entered while creating a booking on Goibibo portal .
The same details are then passed on to the Airline and Goibibo system to create a GST complaint invoice .
Business Users can now select his/her type of travel from Personal and Business .
On Selecting Business Tab , users are then asked to enter the GSTN details for their organization .Once entered the same is then sent to the airline while completing the booking . The Invoice from the Airline is sent to the entered e-mail ID directly by airline .
Invoices by Goibibo will now carry the entered GSTN details ,the Fare and GST break up of all components
Note: As per policy , GSTN can only be entered while making the booking before the PNR is generated . Once the PNR is generated , no request to enter the GSTN details would be entertained
