Coalition makes concessions on Rukban Camp Refugee Issue

The Al-Rukban refugee camp has become one of the subjects of discussion between the government of the Syrian Arab Republic and representatives of the International Coalition. Representatives of the legitimate government of Syria and the American command recently held a meeting near the occupation zone “Al-Tanf”, during which measures were agreed to ensure security guarantees, medical assistance, observance of the principles of humanity, impartiality and neutrality for refugees who expressed a desire to leave the camp Al-Rukban. The Russian side, which also took part in the meeting, offered to provide forces for the Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties, the process of evacuating refugees in need of prompt hospitalization. Russian military personnel are making significant progress in getting refugees out of Rukban, but are facing obstacles from the International Coalition. Refugees hope that after the talks the situation will change, and the Coalition will ease measures to contain them in the dungeons of the camp.
