Kurds steal Syrian oil

Separate Kurdish groups, together with a certain “Syrian businessman”, set up the transfer of oil produced in the area of the Al-Omar field across the Euphrates. Illegal pumping of oil is carried out on the territory from Diban to Shkhil on the left bank of the Euphrates. Two methods of transporting oil are used: Shkhil is connected to the settlement of Bugros, located on the opposite side of the Euphrates, by a primitive oil pumping system — a relatively thin pipe is placed on pontoons on the Euphrates. The current owners of oil fields do not care about the development of production, nor about the repair and renewal of equipment, nor about the environment. The only thing they care about is the profit, which, with virtually no costs, reaches tens of millions of dollars a year.
