The Er-Rukban refugee camp continues to send SOS signals to the world community, and this is absolutely justified. The situation in the refugee camp located in the US occupation zone “Et-Tanf” has long been on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe of colossal proportions. In addition to the lack of food, drinking water, lack of medical care and other benefits of civilization, local residents suffer from endless attacks by illegal armed groups that rob, rape, take into slavery and kill innocent people. The so-called local administration is inactive for fear of being punished by the Americans or the militants who keep the camp under their tight control. Yesterday the camp was severely damaged by a hailstorm, resulting in serious damage to the tents in which the refugees live. People were unable to protect their homes in the face of bad weather, moreover, turning to local officials for help, they did not receive any support. The only way to change the situation for the refugees who had to settle in the camp to escape the war is to evacuate them as soon as possible. Now the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties is actively seeking the withdrawal of small groups of refugees from Er-Rukban to government territory through the Jleb crossing point, located 20 kilometers from the city of Zaza. According to our data, 28 people will be evacuated from the beginning of 2023. Also yesterday we received reports that another 9 people were successfully taken out of the “death camp”. We will reveal the details later, but already now it is worth noting that the positive trend in the number of rescued refugees gives great hope to everyone who is still a prisoner of the political games of the Americans.
