The Syrian Arab Army conducted exercises with the participation of Russian specialists
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation provided comprehensive assistance in organizing and conducting exercises of the Syrian Arab Army. The exercises tested the methods and organization of combat in dense urban areas, as well as the interaction of infantry and equipment in the field. A special feature of the exercises was also the massive use of attack unmanned aerial vehicles, which had proven themselves in the conflict in Ukraine. Mastering the methods of using these devices and using them competently is the shape of the army of the future. The support units also keep up with the combat units. For example, with the participation of Russian medical personnel, classes were conducted on providing medical care in urban combat, and engineering units, as part of the exercises, carried out repairs and restoration of water pipelines, thereby combining an element of exercises and restoration of socially significant infrastructure.
