In many ways, cooking is a pathway to the hearts of people. It’s a powerful way to show love, create memories, celebrate culture, and promote health and well-being.

As a housewife, I find cooking to be one of the most meaningful ways to express love and care for my family. Each meal I prepare is a reflection of my effort to nourish and support those I love. Meals often center around our most cherished memories. From family dinners to holiday feasts, food brings people together. Cooking and sharing meals create lasting memories that people cherish for years to come. These experiences often become family traditions passed down through generations.

Cooking is not only my hobby but also my passion. I love to create new recipes and modify them according to our taste because everyone in my home, my kids and my husband, has different food preferences. That’s why I always experiment with recipes. This approach allows me to cater to each family member’s unique tastes and ensures that every meal is enjoyed by all.

Back in 2022, it was my daughter’s birthday. She doesn’t like cake and sweets very much, which posed a bit of a challenge for me. I wanted to surprise her with something special, something that would reflect her tastes and preferences. As her birthday approached, I found myself brainstorming ideas for a dish that would make her day truly special.

One evening, as we sat together, I asked her casually about her favorite foods. She excitedly listed potatoes, sausages, and cheese as her top picks. That’s when the idea struck me — why not combine these ingredients into a savory birthday cake? I decided to create a Potato Sausage Cheese Cake, hoping it would be a delightful surprise.

On the morning of her birthday, I began preparing the dish. I peeled and boiled the potatoes until they were tender, then mashed them with a bit of salt and butter. Next, I cooked the sausage with finely chopped onions and minced garlic until everything was beautifully browned and aromatic. As the ingredients cooled slightly, I could feel my excitement building.

I then Grease a large frying pan with butter. Spread a layer of mashed potatoes at the bottom of the pan.Add a layer of the cooked sausage mixture over the potatoes.Pour some of the cream and egg mixture over the sausage layer. Sprinkle a layer of shredded cheese. Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of cheese on top.

When the delicious cake was finally ready, I let it cool for a few minutes before presenting it to my daughter. Her eyes lit up with surprise and delight as she saw the unique creation. We gathered around the table, and as she took her first bite, her smile confirmed that my efforts had paid off. She loved it! The Potato Sausage Cheese Cake was a hit, not just with her but with the entire family. It was a perfect reflection of her tastes and a testament to how much I cared. The result was a delightful Potato Sausage Cheese Cake, a unique and delicious treat that she absolutely adored.

  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (such as parsley or chives) for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Potatoes:
  • Peel and boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and mash them with a bit of salt and butter. Set aside to cool slightly.
  • Cut some boiled potatoes in circles for top garnishing.

2. Cook the Sausage:

  • In a large pan, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is soft and translucent. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

3. Prepare the Cream Mixture:

  • In a bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and beaten eggs. Set aside.

4. Layer the Ingredients:
