Welcome, then, to the great world of group chats, where communication goes there to die and chaos is pretty much the ruling power.

Group chats always begin with good intentions: “Let’s all stay connected!” they say. But what follows is a descent into utter confusion. The moment you look away for five minutes, you miss a critical detail-whether it’s a potluck or if you’re expected to bring something that doesn’t come in a box. By the time you scroll back up through the sea of texts, someone’s already made plans that involve you, and no one bothered to ask your opinion.
