  1. Ready Player One (2018): This science-fiction film is set in a virtual reality world called the OASIS, where the protagonist and other characters compete in a high-stakes treasure hunt.
  2. The Matrix Trilogy (1999–2003): The Matrix movies used groundbreaking special effects to create a simulated reality where humans are unaware that they are living in a virtual world.
