Why ZEV are nothing but an illusion of sustainable mobility

In March 2010, the British Advertising Standards Authority put a ban on a major European car manufacturer advertisement [1]. What was the reason for that? That commercial claimed that the manufacturer produce zero-emission vehicles.

The withdrawal of this publicity points out the fact that this advertisement neglected to mention a very important detail. Indeed the emissions that are produced during the production cycle of a vehicle are not to be omitted. Furthermore, the charging of electric cars necessarily comes with CO2 emissions. Every way of producing electricity is inevitably polluting to the environment.
