The self is an image. It is a picture. It is not what we’ve done, what we’ve said, or how we feel. It’s deeper than that. It’s below that. And it’s above it. It’s an unbroken dialogue between the “you” and the “universe.” We absorb, we grow and we experience, we change with the climate yet remain still and unchanging at our deepest depths. All we need to do is let the light in and release.
We are this ocean together. We are a harmonious multitude — unbroken by climate, restless in spirit, always evolving, always flowing. We have existed before us, and we will float on long after we’ve expired. All of our desires, thoughts, expectations and goals will erode and fade back into us. All of our storms pass, the sun sets on us every night, we must only be present for it.
We learn, we grow and we absorb. We seep through the cracks in the rock, and evaporate into the sky only to return as the rain. We let the light in, bending it just a bit, and reflect what shines down upon us. We rise and we fall, survive the tempest, and hold the cradle of life within us. We are a vast expanse containing the infinite and infinitesimal. We seek our own level and spread to our shores.
