Getting Started on SalesMindr — Creating a Business/Store

In our previous article, we discussed how to subscribe to a plan on SalesMindr and access the 31-day free trial for all SalesMindr features. In this article, we will guide you through the process of creating or setting up a business/store. All operations on SalesMindr are tied to a business, and paid accounts have the ability to create multiple businesses/stores. Switching between businesses is also a simple process. To create or set up a business, follow these steps:

Tap on Switch Business — SalesMindr
  1. New Users:
  • After selecting your subscription plan, you will be directed to a form for creating a business.

2. Existing Users:

  • Tap on the settings icon located on the Home screen of the app.
  • From the settings screen, select the “Switch Business” option.

3. Tap on the “+” button to open the create business form.

On the form, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Business category
  • Business title (displayed to the public)
  • Business CAC (optional, visible only to you)
  • Business contact email
  • Contact phone number
  • City, state, country
  • Business VAT in percent
  • Zip/postal code (optional)
  • Business currency (SalesMindr currently supports naira only)
  • Default note/instructions to be placed at the bottom of your invoices and quotes
  • Option to make your business public or private

Public businesses are accessible to the public through the SalesMindr marketplace. Businesses showcased in the marketplace will be available for clients/customers to browse through your products and services. Once you have filled in the necessary details, you can save and return to your list of businesses.

Receipts, invoices, and quotes become more appealing to your clients/customers when they are accompanied by a logo and signature. SalesMindr allows you to attach a logo to your business to personalize your documents. To add a logo to your business, follow these steps:

  1. From the app Home screen, tap on the business icon to open the My businesses screen.
  2. Select the desired business and choose “Change Business Logo & Signature.”
  3. Use the “Tap to select logo” button to choose a logo from your device.
  4. Use the “Tap to select signature image” button to choose a signature from your device.
  5. Once done, tap on the appropriate upload button to complete the process.
