A common social value?

I remembered that when I was young, my mother told me the story about the serpent tempting Eve, so I truly hate the serpent. Nevertheless, it was unexpected that such “story” happened to me. I was once nearly swept by “evil trend”.

Everyone want to be the prettiest one or the most handsome one, and no one want to hear that “you are ugly”. Thus, we make ourselves up, watch the makeup videos on Youtube, read the fashion magazine, or buy many many clothes, etc, so as to become more and more beautiful. As time goes by, that people pursue the trend becomes a corrupting social values. I’m not an exception.

Few years ago, I heard some of my classmates slandered me and they laughed at me because they thought I was ugly. I really really got hurt. Why? Why they treated me like this? Because of this misfortune, I tried my best to be beautiful after I graduated. I brought many cosmetic and dyed my hair so as to change my style.

Just as I expected that many people complimented on me. I’ve achieved my goal! However, I had an inexpressible empty in my heart. I looked at myself in the mirror, my yellow dyed hair and “mask-like” makeup, I couldn’t recognize the one who was standing in front of the mirror… “Who is she?” I nearly forgot what is my “original” face. I really wanna took off my mask and got rid of such empty feelings. So, I determined to be a real Sally. I don’t want to live by others’ preconceptions and expectations.

This experience really impressive to me and I still remember such horrible empty feeling until now. I can’t help to think that “what cause me become more and more fallen?”

Yesterday, I’ve got the answer from a paragraph of God’s word, “Satan directs the tide of evil, and upsets, impairs, and interrupts every aspect of God’s work. For the last several thousand years, apart from corrupting and abusing mankind, and luring and deceiving man to depravity, and to the rejection of God, so man walks towards the valley of death, has Satan done anything that deserves even the slightest commemoration, commendation, or cherishment by man?” (from A Continuation of The Word Appears in the Flesh) Is Satan! Satan directs such evil trend and have made me fall in the abyss of sin. He can do nothing but hurting man!

How does God feel when he see this? God says, “…when He saw that mankind was helpless in sin, and when He saw that mankind lived pitifully under the law and struggled powerlessly, He became more and more grieved in His heart and became more and more eager to save mankind from sin. … He just had one conviction in His heart: As long as He offered Himself up, as long as He was nailed onto the cross as a sin offering, God’s will would be carried out and God could start a new work, and mankind’s life in sin and mankind’s state of living in sin would be completely changed. His conviction and the thing He was determined to do both had to do with saving mankind. He only had one purpose: to carry out God’s will so that God could carry out the next stage of His work smoothly. This was the Lord Jesus’ mind at that time.” (from A Continuation of The Word Appears in the Flesh)

After I read these word, I know God is really really eager to save us from Satan’s hand. Besides, I can feel that how God’s love and greatness is. I would like to satisfy him, and you?
