15 Mind-Blowing End Time Prophecies In Islam That Have Already Taken Place
The Qur’an summarises the points that a Muslim must accept as a matter of faith, these include the belief that there is only one God and that Muhammad (pbuh) is His messenger and you believe in his message.
Muhammad (pbuh) was, and is, seen by Muslims to represent the perfect human being and the most impeccable role model. Testimonies about what He said became the second most important source of religious truth. Therefore in addition to the Qur’an, which is the word of God, Muslims collected the sayings of Muhammad (pbuh) and called them Hadith. Together with the Qur’an, the Prophet’s sayings are the most important legacy and inheritance they own.
Here I share with you 15 of Muhammad (pbuh) prophecies that have already taken place.
Phones and talking shoes
- This hadith is a prediction about advancing technology. It states that near judgment day, people's shoes will be able to talk to them. An article was published in The New York Times — ‘These Shoes Are Made for Talking’, on November 1st, 2006. Since then, Google and other brands have come up with their own talking shoes. The second part of the hadith states that people's thighs will be able to inform them about what is going on back at home, meaning that their pockets (located on the thighs) will contain something which is going to tell them what is going on back at home (i.e a phone). — Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2181
High-rise buildings
- ”The Final Hour will not come until people compete with one another in the height of their buildings”. An article was published in the World Economic Forum — “There is a global race to build even taller skyscrapers” on January 3rd, 2018. — Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 449
Knowledge, ignorance, alcohol, and sex
- Religious knowledge will be taken away, ignorance will prevail, drinking alcoholic drinks will be very common and fornication will become widespread. We can see this happening in the 21st century. — Bukhari, Vol 1, Book 3, Hadith 80
The appearance of diseases due to illegal fornication
- “Immorality never appears among a people to such an extent that they commit it openly, but plagues and diseases that were never known among the predecessors will spread among them”, meaning that fornication will cause many diseases to appear, such as STDs, HIV, etc. — Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol 5, Book 36, Hadith 4019
Consuming interest
- “There will come a time when there will be no one left who does not consume usury (interest), and whoever does not consume it will nevertheless be affected by it”. The hadith states that a time will come when everyone will use interest in some way, even if you try not to, it will still affect you. There are 2 types of interest according to the Qur’an. First would be a loan contract, a credit transaction with a pre-determined or pre-agreed increase or interest which a lender receives over and above the original principle. The second one is an immediate sale or exchange of commodities such as gold, silver, wheat, dates, salt, etc. of unequal quantities of the same commodity. — Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol 3, Book 12, Hadith 2278
Keep in mind that at the time of this prediction, there were no banks, people used gold and silver coins and there wasn’t any paper money or bank cards. Interest did exist back then but not everyone used it.
The defeat of the Persian and Roman Empires
- This prophecy was made when Muhammad(PBUH) and his followers were under siege and were outnumbered 3 to 1. Persia and Rome were the most powerful empires of the world at the time. Romans with elite armored units, Persians with war elephants, and several sophisticated army divisions, each with over 100,000 well equipped elite soldiers. It seemed impossible even to think about carrying out a military mission like this but somehow they still managed to make it out victorious. — Sahih Muslim, Book 41, Hadith 6930
Death wishes
- This Hadith states that more people will wish to die. Meaning that depression and anxiety will increase. — Sahih Muslim, Book 41, Hadith 6947
Lack of honesty
- Honesty will start to be lost. Authority will be given to people who do not deserve it. Politicians will be seen as total liars while major world leaders will misguide and deceive their people. — Sahih Bukhari, Volume 8, Book 076, Hadith 503
Violence and killing
- More and more innocent people will be killed. This has been happening for a long time. Huge examples are the Syrian civil war, the war against the terrorism of Daesh in Iraq, the war in Afghanistan, in Yemen, and even in Mexico there’s a war going on against drug trafficking, not to mention the mass racial violence in the United States. — Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 88, 184
Sex, alcohol, and music
- Illegal sex, alcohol, and music will become widespread and normal. Fulfilled. — Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 69, Hadith 494
Earthquakes, time passing quickly, afflictions, murder, and wealth
- Religious knowledge will be taken away, the number of earthquakes will increase, the time will pass quickly, afflictions appearing, the killing of innocent people increasing, and an abundance of wealth. — Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 17, Number 146
Naked women
- Women will be naked despite being dressed. We can see this happening on the beaches when a woman is wearing a bikini. — Sahih Muslim, Book 40, Hadith Number 6840
Idols
- The number of worshipping idols will increase. Today, most people worship idols (e.g an object, a statue, an animal, or even a person). — Jami` at-Tirmidhi, 2219
Plagues that will take millions of peoples lives
- This hadith states that there will be a plague that will kill in great numbers. Countless epidemics are still widespread on the face of the earth, which includes plague, cholera, smallpox, AIDS, malaria, etc. besides the COVID pandemic. — Sahih Bukhari, Vol 4, book 53, 401
Decorative mosques
- Mosques will become more decorative and will look very beautiful. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised people not to make mosques so complex, instead keep them very simple. The picture above is perfect proof that this has already taken place. — Bulugh al-Maram, Book 2, Hadith 135
These prophecies are very important since they prove the authenticity of the person whom the Qur’an was revealed to. No one could ever imagine that an unlettered person living in a nomadic society of Arabia 1400 years ago would predict such amazing events happening.
