Honest question here, since I don’t do Android stuff, but more server stuff instead:

You’re right! We do have Lombok, ButterKnife to remove lots of boilerplate code. We also do have Retrolambda to write lambdas. We also do have other things. We have to use libraries to do all that stuff, not bad approach but what if we are getting all of this by default, without any library :)
