Reaching out to the HR Professionals to practice Equip and Real.

So we were given a task to reach out to the HR Professional and ask some questions regarding the recruitment process.

We arrived at “Punjab Vocational and Training Council” (PVTC) on Tuesday 28th August 2018 to meet the head of Human resource department. Me along with my team members Noman Ch, Saad bin Shabbir and Asif Bukhari(Group5) reached their office at 3 pm. The name of the HR professional is Mr. Raza Shamsi. We asked some questions. The questions we asked were:
- What do you see the most while recruitment process of a candidate ?
- In your experience, how important do you think it is to be yourself in an interview?
- How do you identify if a candidate is being real or not during the interview?
- What suggestions you may have on how to be fully prepared/equipped for an interview?
And the answers we got were that they focus on the “Attitude and Experience” of the candidate. If the attitude is good then they hire that person. If the attitude is according to the demand of recruiters then they shortlist that person and look forward to hire him.
The HR Professional told us that they focus on that either the interviewee is being real or being fake. If he is real and is showing to be himself then it makes it easy for them to hire him. If the person becomes fake and shows negative attitude and pretends to be “Aristotle” :) then they reject him.
The Professional told us that they are really very much experienced and it is too much easy for them to check out that either the person is real and have a positive attitude or is fake.
He further told us that a fresh interviewee(having no experience) should be very energetic and should think that he is the only person which will get hired. He should observe it because it will make it more easy for him to go through the interview and be successful. The interviewee should dress formally and properly like a pro.

This activity was really helpful in understanding how different organizations operate. It was a great experience meeting up with the HR professional and we will apply these suggestions in our upcoming interview and if anyone wants to ask us more about this activity then they are warmly welcomed.
