Bert Kreischer Career
Bert performed his first stand-up at Potbelly’s in Tallahassee. After an agent named Jason Steinberg heard a tape of his performance, he was invited to perform live stand-up shows in New York City. Bert moved to New York City and worked as a doorman at the Boston Comedy Club in Greenwich Village. A few months later, he was offered a sitcom deal by Will Smith’s production firm.
Bert Kreischer appeared in the pilot episode of “Life with David J.” and the short film “Prepare to Meet Thy God” in 2001. As we go forward to 2004, he was included on the DVD “National Lampoon Live: New Faces — Volume 2” and appeared as a guest on “The Shield.” A short story of Bert’s was also made into an animated series for Comedy Central’s “Shorties Watchin’ Shorties.” His earlier roles in the 2007 movie “Alpha Mail” and the 2008 reality series parody “Reality Bites Back” with Amy Schumer and Tiffany Haddish were before that.
