Improved SAT Might be Too Wordy

The SAT has undergone many recent changes. Many of these changes, according to the College Board, are meant to be understandable and without mystery. According to a New York Times article, however, many children have been complaining that the wording of the new SAT is too confusing and vague for a college assessment test.

College Professor Leaves Wheaton After Controversial Comments

In December 2015, Dr. Larycia Hawkins told students in her Wheaton University classroom that Christians and Muslims had a lot in common. Wheaton, a Christian college, released a statement after these comments that they would seek to termination with Dr. Hawkins. The New York Times has officially confirmed on Tuesday that Dr. Hawkins and Wheaton have found an agreement to “part ways.”

Americans Live Shorter than They Should

On average, the US citizen is living an average of 2.2 years shorter than other high-income countries. After talking with the CDC, a CNN article explained that the greatest cause of the deficit in the average US lifespan is due mostly to gun injuries, drug poisoning and motor vehicle crashes. The largest group to experience these kinds of death? — middle aged white males.
