Government spending is always a complicated issue, so interesting to see one side of the picture. Would be very much interested to see any statistics on the other side from you.
Say something like what is the no. of patents registered in a year to every dollar spent on education. Or some sort of analysis on value for money (let me introduce you to 3Es, where economy * efficiency * effectiveness = value for money).
I was planning to write something on fiscal spending, this got me motivated. ☺
