Today we discussed our social innovation topic and tried to create reasonable solutions that we could achieve next week. My solution for gun violence was to pair up with schools and local sports organizations, giving young people jobs. Along with the jobs, these young people would be taught finance, how to manage the money that they earn. This would help both the poverty and education part of gun violence. I also found a great ted talk by Sherman Patterson,, which explains a tragic story and his attempt to repair a broken city.
