Great read, Kevin. I remember the FBI case with Apple and how ridiculous it was. At the time, I was in a business law class and I asked my professor what she thought about the lawsuit. She thought that the lawsuit was pointless for the same exact reasons you mentioned in terms of the negative impact it would have on tech companies in the United States and cybersecurity in general. It was no surprise to me that Apple came up on top, especially when other giant tech companies had Apple’s back. Cybersecurity is such an interesting topic and I want to continue learning more about it.
