Launching a brave, new Azimo

Yesterday the team at Azimo had the pleasure of revealing our new brand, apps and website to the world. (Some coverage and coverage)

When I arrived three months ago, it was with the brief to relaunch the brand. I inherited some fantastic design guidelines and a clear deadline, and it has been a pleasure to see the team pull together in recent weeks.

And the results? Well, I think we’ve delivered something beautiful, something full of life, and something which will set the brand up for many exciting years of growth. But I would say that, wouldn’t I?

The new Azimo brand and apps

To celebrate, we hosted an intimate media event at our PR agency, Harvard, which was attended by a wonderful variety of attendees, from well-known industry titles to niche but powerful ethnic media partners. Especially amongst the latter audience, it was inspiring to see the impact that Azimo has for them, their readers and their world. I spoke at length with a Nigerian lady (and a huge fan of Azimo) who cannot wait to tell her mum all about the referral scheme now offered on the apps! (£10 for you, £10 for them when they make their first transfer over £50!)

Our esteemed leader Marta Krupinska presented the WHY behind our changes (which you can also read on Azimo’s blog), and our Head of Product, Dan Martins gave a lovely demo of the new features in the apps.

Both left the audience with a clear appreciation of our claim to be ‘the better way to transfer money.’

So, yes, it feels great to release the new brand to the world, but as Dan and I reflected in the cab home… the work has only just begun!

Here’s to a #betterWorld with Azimo!
