As stated in the previous blog that covered Stock and Barrel, many restaurants are reopening in a post-covid world. While following this trend, the next featured restaurant is Café 4.
Café 4 is located in Market Square, and is apart of a family of restaurants. These restaurants include Vida, “a new world of fresh, pan-Latin tastes and textures, accented with an Asian flare,” The Vault, “a swanky cocktail lounge reminiscent of 1930s glitz, located in the vault of the historic Holston Bank,” and Kefi, “Mediterranean-style shared plates and pre-batched cocktails.”

Café 4, however, is the best of the four. It is well rounded, with many menu items. One of these items includes the best mac and cheese in knoxville. The important part is to include the chicken.

Café 4 also has private rooms that are available to rent out for special occasions and parties. They have the Mezz, which is an intimate atmosphere for private events. On the other hand they also have the Square Room for larger parties, such as bridal showers, concerts, and more.
Café 4 Covid-19 Precautions
Café 4 is a fantastic choice for those who are concerned with the Covid-19 pandemic. They have implicated many new features in order to keep their guests and staff safe.
- Their tables are decently spaced out.
- There are hand sanitizer stations within the restaurant to help prevent the spread of germs.
- The hosts do not hand out silverware or menus, instead there is a QR code on the table as well as pre-placed cutlery.
- Servers also bring refills in fresh glasses, instead of spreading the germs from the old glass.
The only apparent critique would be that their staff does not wear masks, but other than that it is a considerably safe choice.
Café 4 has a lot to offer their guests upon their visit. Guests can enjoy a wonderful menu, great drink options, stunning atmosphere, and a clean enviorment. All of which makes this restaurant a must stop on the itinerary for any Knoxville visitor.
