29 july 2017 — one week left

jello.
sitting in the back of the car, leaning on kim and em with each turn. the closeness i’m used to.
jeff smooths his hair back again. long hairs stick out of michael’s neck. the boy’s hair has grown.
it’s been a long time.

— one week out.
i miss seeing my siblings in the morning. being woken up by kim’s ten alarms. the slow mornings, quiet and calm with a cup of tea.

— two weeks out.
ignoring my convictions. not letting go, just leaving. suppressing. burying down deep. not forgetting. just not thinking about.

three weeks out.

it only takes an hour for it all to come back//it all came back.

attack — ambush — emotions. oops.
released, but it hurt.
released, finally.
things can be let go now.

//welcome back
