Masdar city with zero Carbon.
Masdar means "the source" in Arabic. Masdar is the future energy company of Abu Dhabi and Masdar City is a planned community project in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab. It has the headquarters of International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). It was designed by Foster and Partners that is the international studio for non-segregate design and for architecture. The interesting thing about this city is that it relies upon renewable energy resources basically on solar energy. This place will not impair the orb in any way because it has no carbon footprint. It produces more energy than it will engross.

Architecture:

It was established in 2006 as Masdar . Masdar City is being constructed 17 kilometres east-south-east of the city of Abu Dhabi, a five minute drive from Abu Dhabi International Airport and 40 minutes from Dubai. The size of this city is 6 km^2. The city remains around 15 degrees Celsius cooler than the area surrounding because of its exotic and beautiful design .It combines the scheme of full renewable resources of energy with clean technology lifecycle taking it from research tine towards the level of mercantile deployment. Masdar city has terracotta walls accessorize with arabesque patterns. Each building is erected with minimal carbon cement and is designed to minimize energy and water consumption by at least 40%.

Renewable resources:

Water recycle:

About 80% of water used is recycled in this city. All wastewater in Masdar city will be recycled through a bioreactor and reserved for cultivation and agriculture.

Example- the irrigation recovery project follows the route that water seeps down through the soil layer of 2 to 3 feet and after satisfying plants requisite goes to water collecting system that recovers remaining water for next use.

Gases management:

The utmost intention of Masdar city is to become first city carbon equal to naught so some of carbon dioxide released in ecosystem during construction can be offset by plonking supplement solar energy or by growing trees.

Waste management:

In 2017, Masdar signed a development agreement with Bee’ah of Sharjah to evolve the UAE’s first waste-to-energy power plant. On completion, the plant will channel more than 300,000 tonnes of solid waste from landfill each year and produce 240,000-megawatt hours of clean energy.

Importance:

• Project will not utilise any zero gas or oil resources hence it can be said that involvement in causing greenhouse effect and global warming is naught.

• Cars are banned here, making way into the centre of the development in Personal Rapid Transport (PRT) pods – small unmanned electric cars.

• Movement sensor are used because there are no light switches or water taps in the city.

• It produces more energy than its engross.

Conclusion:

It is emerging global clean technology cluster located in what aims to be one of the world’s most tenable Urban development powered by solar energy. This city aims at low carbon production by using its better technology techniques.
