Back at it with another movie review, this one’s a bit different.

This 1999 american crime thriller is directed by Bruce Beresford, starring Ashley Judd, Tommy Lee Jones and Bruce Greenwood. The story revolves around a young, married couple who have a four — year old son Matty. The couple, Libby and Nick Parsons, (played by Ashley Judd and Bruce Greenwood) go on a sailing boat for a romatic getaway for the weekend while Libby’s close friend Angie watches the kids. All is well until the following morning when Libby wakes up to her husband missing. As she gets up from the bed to figure out his whereabouts, she notices blood stains on her robe; blood stains everywhere following a trail towards the top of the boat. Terrified thinking about the possibilities of what might have happened, Libby makes her way to the top of the boat where she finds a blood covered knife. As she stands confused, the police find her and any guesses what happened next?

Maybe i’m the only one who loves the beginning of thrillers. It is so full of hope like a kid going to start college or starting a new venture, almost like the world is your oyster. Fresh air, serene background and happy, cheerful music is all it’s about. It the breeze before a storm. Suddenly in the movie something shifts, something changes and it’s a total 180. Then its holding your breath or a stuffed teddy bear (if you’re scared XD) wondering what’s gonna happen next. This is that part when the audience screams don't go into the house, don’t go into the house but you secretly know that the character will and honestly a part of you wants to see what lies in there.

I dont like to give away much about any thrillers and i always suggest just to see the rating and decide rather that reading a detailed review or reading my thriller reviews :) to know just enough and still watch it with a blank slate. I believe that’s the best way to enjoy a thriller when you know nothing about it, when you have absolutely no idea what is gonna be thrown in your way, just like life ;)

This movie is a must watch and gives the classic 1990s movie feel, somewhat refreshing if you ask me, from all the Gen Z movies that are too Gen Z if that’s a thing. I will just like to leave you will one piece of information that you might find interesting :

‘Double jeopardy states that a person cannot be tried twice for the same crime.’

Note — This movie is purely fictional.
