13 Reasons why (not)
The Hair Flipper

Hi Maansa! I saw that Harshitha shared this post and happened to read it.
I am sorry for your loss.

I just wanted to state a couple of things- the part where you mentioned that you can’t imagine the extent to which she psychologically troubled her classmates — I just sort of feel that you’ve missed out the point here. The aim of the show is not to foster suicide and then this kind of psychological treatment on your friends, but to get people to actually start talking about it and bring it to the forefront, just like you did.
I agree that the show is glorified and dramatic to an extent but I feel this is how humans work. I have been in depression and borderline suicidal myself- and there were reasons (people in particular) who were responsible for this. I do not understand why is it wrong to let them know that maybe, they were responsible somewhere. Just because it leads us into a guilt trip doesn’t mean that it is absolutely wrong to do it.
I hope you understand what I am trying to say. It is not a hate comment or anything, just trying to add more perspective to this.

Having said that, this show at least got us talking about it and me reading your experiences, which were pretty touching. Thanks for sharing them.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
