Dear Ms. Poole, thank you for your insightful comments. I think that many Americans have the same concerns about the lack of personal interaction with their physicians. Some hospital systems in the US seem to be trying to adopt a Cuba-style preventive, hands-on model, like Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn. It is a bigger issue than the individual doctors, of course, and really requires a commitment from the senior hospital administration to work.
