Thanks to Sijo Kuruvilla George for introducing me to the concepts of and the difference between important and urgent.

What is important is seldom urgent and what is urgent is seldom important.
-Dwight Eisenhower

The concept is simple.

The above diagrams are almost self explanatory into what it is.
The first three Google links will give you an idea of what it is.

To make your life easier, let me Google and share the first two links here for your further reading. They should give a fair idea about the concept, if it’s new to you.

There are tons of blogs about it on the internet. There are tons of implementations and interpretations.

The purpose of this blog is to help you quickly adopt it in your lives and make things simpler for you.

I googled and installed many apps and web integrations from the play store and other places. Rather than you spending time on researching, here are the best that I found.

  1. When you create a task or a task comes/is delegated to you — and you are the kind of person (with Android) who knows what category it falls into, and it’s not going to change later the app for you is : Ike
  2. If you are the kind of person who wants to quickly put down a to-do list. And then want to take a few moments to analyse and strategise what’s important and what’s urgent, and it may change later, the app for your is : a trello board implementation of the matrix. Android.
  3. A very basic but quite simple implementation is a chrome app here. Sadly they don’t have an Android app but their iPhone app highly recommended for its simplicity.

Hope that makes your life easier. I found about Eisenhower matrix and many other cool stuffs from https://medium.com/@sijokuruvilla/rethink-credo-6c4f3f9f8ba5 . Do check it out.

Good time management

To end with, here are some examples I pulled from the internet.

Example 1
Example 2
Example 3
Example 4

Wish you (and me) a powerful and more effective to-do.

Thanks for your time. Do encourage me to write more.

EDIT : Its Feb 21st and Ike has been the best. I use it everyday.
