My Art

What are the major themes I pursue in my work?

I have always been inspired by nature and its colours. My art also draws influence from fractals and algorithms that I have used in software programming.

Why do I like creating art?

I grew up in a house where art, colors, photography and light are celebrated. My mother an Art teacher ran art classes at home and my father did oil painting in his free time. I was exposed to books on master artists and the smell of paint from a very young age.

Even though I studied computer science and marketing, I have continued to paint and create art as a hobby. These days I paint at home , my work area is pictured here.

Who is my favorite artist and favorite piece of art?

The world is full of wonderful art. I won’t be able to see and experience most of it in my short life span. So from the very little art that I have seen, I love Winslow Homer’s “The Gulf Stream”.
