What a load of crap. This is just blatant bias under the guise of ‘fair’ comparison.
Lets look at a few issues with your run down…
Colour:
So we’re looking at colour. Just colour. So when two flags both use the same four colours, you can’t give them different scores. The category is colour, not colour + justification of colour.
Rule of 3rd:
This one, we’re looking at the rule of thirds. You said you’re a designer, so you know what that means. That means that saying “it doesn’t really adhere to the rule of thirds” tells us it fails the category. Which means you can’t give it full marks, like you did.
Asymmetry:
Ok so this is a pretty loose one given that everything is either one or the other. But again, it seems like you’ve used this section to go full credit to red peak, and give the other designs poor choice just so you get your favourite well in the lead.
Context:
I’m calling it. The fern doesn’t read awkwardly backwards, its just a fern. You’re calling every bullshit reason you can pull out so that again you can mark the other designs low.
Then you’ve started bringing simplicity, or the designs being too complex, into this categories comments. You’ve already marked that one. Don’t double dip. It’s just a way to give your red peak more undeserved marks.
in summary, this article could have been written well, but you haven’t been able to put aside your own bias to do it objectively, and blatantly disregard your own mark schedule to push your agenda in a seemingly ‘un-biased” report. Poor form.
