Under reported factoid: Draymond’s draft slide represents the nadir of Morey-ball and the best representation of how human fallibility can still infect even the most objective stats-driven approach. Morey picked Royce White in the first round instead of Draymond, even though they were nearly identical physical specimens and very similar in style of play. Draymond was the more successful in college by almost any measure, and had a taller standing reach than White, and yet Morey still picked the worse prospect from the two-player pool of do it all tweener forwards.
