Thank you for your thoughtful response. It looks like you’re doing some important work. But I am pretty sure I didn’t say you should never have an app.
If you have a reasonable case for building an app, then by all means. The issue I have is that most startup founders who start their businesses by making an app, simply haven’t validated that use case with real customer data. They just assume. It’s also worth noting that a mobile responsive experience can do quite a lot, and that a full native app isn’t always warranted, even when mobile is itself called for.
