“Come for the Basketball Vacation!”, a women’s basketball triple jam in Times Square on April 24–25
‘Basketball in the city center in summer!
The 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL 3x3 Triple Jam, which has become a signature basketball event of the summer, will be held at the Times Square Atrium Center in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul from July 22–25.
With 13 teams participating, the most ever, six overseas teams from four countries will compete in the event to promote international exchange. Seven teams from Korea will compete, including six teams from the WKBL (Korean Women’s Basketball League) and the women’s 3x3 national team that will compete at the Hangzhou Asian Games in September. International teams include Toyota Antelopes, runners-up in Japan’s W-League 2022–2023 Championship Finals, as well as WILL and ZOOS (Japan), Jumpshot (Singapore), Shootit Dragons (Thailand), and Titans (Philippines). Participating teams will be divided into four groups and compete in the preliminary round on the 24th, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals and finals on the 25th.
Many famous players from home and abroad will participate and meet fans. Park So-hee (Hana OneQ), who won the Rookie of the Year award in the 2022–2023 season, and Kang Yoo-rim (Samsung Life Insurance), who won the MIP award, will compete, as well as Na Yoon-jung (Woori Bank), Kim Sion (BNK Thumb), Lee Chae-eun (KB Stars), and Choi Seo-yeon (BNK Thumb). In addition, 3x3 national team members Lee Da-yeon (Shinhan Bank), Jung Yerim (Hana OneQ), Lim Kyu-ri (Samsung Life), and Park Sung-jin (BNK Thumb) will be practicing their teamwork ahead of the Asian Games.
Representing Japan will be Kiho Miyashita (Toyota Antelopes), who represented Japan at the 2019 FIBA 3x3 World Cup and the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games, 토토사이트 while Singapore’s Kang Yi Tan (Jumpshot) and the Philippines’ Katrina Guitingco (Titans) have also played for their respective national teams.
Meanwhile, the tournament organizers, the WKBL, have organized a number of engaging events and prizes for those attending the event in Times Square. There will be mini-games with players and fans, and various events utilizing summer items such as tubes, beach balls, and beach towels. All games will be streamed live on the YouTube channel ‘Women’s Basketball TV’ and on NAVER Sports, Africa TV, Kakao TV, and WKBL applications, with some preliminary matches on the 24th and the quarterfinals and finals on the 25th being broadcast live on KBS N Sports TV.
