Yes, so when we have a void in information — we assume we are less powerful than we actually are, and assume that our opponent is more powerful than they actually are. It’s why a lot of people naturally assume the worst-case scenario with situations.

Probably just our self-preservative nature — something built into our DNA, manifesting in another weird human habit. But it still matters, right? Even power that’s assigned out of our own fear, is still power… at least over us.
