Day 2 of Bootcamp.HTTP and Console programs
Today I learnt something new. The most amazing thing about bootcamp is that you get to learn something new every day . I just love it here. My fellow bootcampers are a amazing people who have helped me a lot in this learning experience. They make my learning smooth. On the other hand, the tasks provided by the Andela team is an amazing platform to learn new things each and every day. If you are a fan of education and learning as I am, you would know that learning is a never ending process. Every minute is an opportunity to grasp new skill.
Today we were to write a console program that takes in a public API as a HTTP client library. This was a huge challenge to me. Being new to API’s and the HTTP client library, I had to struggle with the exercise whilst reading. There are so many HTTP client libraries for python out there. I managed to know two libraries. The python HTTPlib and the urllib3 libraries. The urrllib3 library is actually a very powerful, sanity-friendly HTTP client for python. At least that is what they say about it.
With time I will improve my skills on public APIs, HTTP libraries and writing console programs as a whole. Everyday is a challenge but we face it with bravery, confidence and more energy.
