Bit of a strange article. Berating apple for things like dropping the headphone jack on the new iphone whilst claiming they no longer innovate. These are the sort of things that apple has always done over the years and it helps to push technology forwards. Suddenly there will be a huge market for wireless headphones. The tech will get better and cheaper in that area.

One of the biggest criticisms people love to level at apple is that they no longer innovate, they no longer release amazing new products. Its true for the most part. But no one does in the phone or laptop business. There will not be a huge leap in technology like the original iphone again for a long time. When there is, all companies will have access to it in all likelihood.

I always ask people who say this about apple to give me examples where google or any of the hundred other companies that make android handsets have created something amazing and unsurprisingly they can’t. People expect too much from an industry that isn’t moving that quickly. When was the last time a car came out that fundamentally changed the way we drive or use our car. New industries take off at an amazing pace and then slow down.

I love google apps and they make fantastic software but so do apple. The grass is not always greener on either side.
