From this month onwards, we’re attempting something different when it comes to xp and the leaderboard. On the first of December, xp was reset for all members. Before the reset, we took an exhaustive snapshot of everyone’s earned xp so far.
This month contributors found new and novel ways of earning xp. Builders built bots, artists designed, moderators helped answer questions and those equipped with a second language wrote translations. A very very fulfilling month for xp rewards where the bar has been set higher.
This month has been quite an all-rounder in terms of progress. Each Hubblenaut, Mod Guild member and Hubble Homie has been hustling at their domain. We feel like intelligence operatives — or perhaps a better analogy would be The Avengers.
Alright-alright — maybe not as cool as the Avengers.
A few weeks ago, we initiated XP Rewards and the Leaderboard. This experiment in building Hubble’s community has been wildly successful so far. We’ve created a token-economy within the server and it has fostered a culture of contribution, taking independent initiative and providing value to the Hubble community.
Even though it feels like forever, it’s only been about a month since we first announced Hubble. So much has happened and we’ve grown very swiftly as a community, finding our groove in the space and synthesizing our mimetic culture.
In the next few years, DAOs will collectively be one of the world’s largest employers. In the last few months, DAOs have hired a new type of work-force: contributors. They’re not employees, they don’t sign non-competes or vesting agreements. …
