Please note: This is not a case study. This was a problem statement provided to me by “Shout Networking” as an assignment.

Coonect dating app

Problem statement:

In most dating apps, people get judged by their physical appearance instead of their genuine personality and intentions. 90% of the people don’t even get the opportunity to ramp up the conversation till a voice call. On the other hand, everyone is not willing to give up their identity before digging up more about the other person via an authentic voice call to take it further. Anyone can lift up their mood, by talking funny, banter, or flirting with random people while staying anonymous at the same time. Also no need to waste unlimited time for getting a match and end up being ghosted. Get gratified instantly, and ditch the call safely mid-way, if they just do not vibe with you.

Key solutions:

Our solution to that is Coonect. This is a dating app that is one of a kind. In this app, a person’s mood is and an anonymous mood-based avatar, in the form of Apple Animoji is given more importance instead of their real name and portrait photos. Instead of just physical looks, you can connect with the people based on their liking of movies, music, food, taste and personality. You can also know more about them from their bio about their background, relationship status and sex life.

App Teaser:

Coonect introduces mood-based speed dating — that hooks you up anonymously, basis your mood (& some key data points) on voice calls with the opposite/your preferred sex and the call progresses further, only if the two sides mutually dig for each other.
